High School Assessments

High School students take assessments to measure their mastery of high school content standards, as well as to secure postsecondary credit and access. Beginning in 2017-2018, Louisiana is transitioning to five-level LEAP 2025 high school assessments to replace the former, four-level End-of-Course tests. This transition will provide a consistent measure of student performance and growth from grades 3 through twelve.

High School Assessments for 2017-2018 include:

  • End-of-Course (EOC): English III, Biology
  • LEAP 2025:  English I & II, Algebra I, Geometry, U.S. History
  • American College Test (ACT)
  • WorkKeys
  • Advanced Placement (AP)
  • College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
  • Louisiana Educational Assessment Program (LEAP) Connect
  • English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT)
