Observation + Feedback


Compass teacher rubric is used at least twice a year to support teacher reflection and improvement.

Evaluators and teachers use these opportunities to:

  1. Assess and provide feedback on instructional skills and decisions
  2. Assess how students are performing relative to student learning targets
  3. Determine a teacher’s strengths and areas for improvement
  4. Develop clear next steps that support teacher improvement and ultimately increase student learning

The results from the feedback sessions contribute to the overall compass evaluation rating for a teacher.
