Safe and Healthy Schools

Louisiana has adopted a coordinated, comprehensive approach, called Coordinated School Health, to create a climate for achievement in schools and to promote healthy lifestyles among students. The approach has eight components, including health education, physical education, health services, nutrition services, counseling, psychological and social services, health promotion for staff, health and safe school environment and family / community environment.
